St. Charles City Restoration

This was a large scale restoration project that involved gutting the house back to the studs. The old wiring, plumbing, HVAC systems and insulation were all upgraded to meet or exceed minimum Code standards. The coal burning fireplace was converted to natural gas.

The 1940’s architectural style was retained but with more modern amenities including adding a bathroom to the lower level. The exterior doors and windows were upgraded to improve function and energy efficiency. Prior to the restoration work being performed, the lower level had a sump pit with drain tile around the perimeter of the foundation installed and all the cracks in the foundation were repaired.
